Blockfolio Is Joining FTX
Blockfolio is thrilled to announce that we’re joining forces with FTX. As part of that announcement, we’re also excited to share that later this year, we’ll be launching a retail trading experience.
With this note I hope to share just a little about how we got here and where we’re headed.
With hundreds of millions of page views per month, Blockfolio has built one of the most engaged apps in crypto.
We’ve been able to do this for a few reasons.
The first is that right from the beginning, we have been laser focused on the quality of the user experience. We believe Blockfolio needs to be able to stand against any premium consumer app, crypto focused or not.
The second is that we’ve built a direct network of more than 600 project teams. These are companies who actively use Blockfolio Signal to communicate important updates to their followers, in the process, turning these users into a true community.
The third factor is that we’ve always built with our users’ needs and expectations at the heart of everything we did. That won’t change at all as we move into this next chapter.
And speaking of that new chapter, we also want to tell you more about FTX.
What would you have said in the midst of the bear market in late 2018/early 2019 if a young founder told you he was going to build an exchange to compete with the likes of Binance and Coinbase?
You probably would have called him nuts, but that’s exactly what Sam Bankman-Fried and his team at FTX have done.
In a little over a year, they’ve built one of the top exchanges in the world and innovated on new products at an absolutely relentless pace. What’s more, they’ve done so with extremely high integrity. Simply put, these guys are incredible ethos-driven builders.
When we think about the future of this space — one that includes an inflow of a growing number of investors and significantly growing capital — there’s no one we’d rather team up with than FTX.
So what will that collaboration bring?
Later this fall, Blockfolio will be launching a retail trading experience, powered by FTX. We’re not ready to share too much more at this time, but we are hard at work, heads down, and absolutely can’t wait to unleash this thing soon. You can pre-register here.
For our current users wondering what this means for them, fear not. Blockfolio will continue to operate as an independent app, and nothing has changed about how seriously we take your data and privacy. In the app, you’ll still be able to import data from whichever exchanges you prefer to use.
In no way does Blockfolio’s story end with this acquisition. We’re teaming up with one of the most dynamic companies in the space because the stakes of crypto are about to get much higher, the community of crypto users is about to get much bigger, and together, the possibilities for what we can build for them are endless.
